Questions?
If you have a question about Hermione, or a spell, or a famous wizard, or a book published 1500 years ago, she can probably answer it.

What exactly does she see in Ron? No offense, I just don't get it. Though Luna says she finds his freckles fascinating. Particularly the cluster on his right cheek that resembles the constellation of Orion.

Well, despite his shortcomings, Ron is loyal, brave, and does a good job cheering people up. Hermione really needs someone like that--someone who doesn't take himself so seriously, who can actually make her laugh.

She has fun when he's around.

I think it's also partially the "opposites attract" thing.

I know she's spent half her life at Hogwarts defending him to Harry and Ron, but I just have to know ... what does Hermione really think of Snape?

She thinks he's a good teacher in general, but sometimes his methods can be a bit harsh. She wants to believe that he is a good person.

She's wary of trusting him, but would probably be interested in a conversation regarding his ideas for potions before she returns to the future.

Innnnnnnteresting. Will she be less wary when she finds out he's a prefect? ;-) Seriously, though ... is she just wary because she knows he was a Death Eater at one time? I'm only asking because he didn't kill Dumbledore in our premise (but you probably already knew that). Oh, and how will Hermione react when she finds out Snape is friends with Harry's mum?

I personally think of her as wary because of the way he's always treated Ron and Harry (and his general cruelty towards any house that isn't his own). The Death Eater thing is part of it, but I don't think that's the main reason for her uncertainty. :/

Upon seeing that Lily and Snape are friends...I'm expecting a bit of shock, a reminder to her friends that Snape hasn't done anything to Harry yet, and a discussion about how they (Lily and Snape) know each other--still with a bit of shock ;D.

That makes sense. :-)

Heh. I foresee Hermione trying to rein Harry in a lot in the days to come. So good luck with that! ;-)

I know! XD. But someone has to do it...as I believe I mentioned on the application, maybe that's why the Sorting Hat chose her for Gryffindor? Because it knew that someone would need to lecture Harry and Ron?

You know, that makes a lot of sense, too. Heh. :-)

The Sorting Hat is the evil genius behind all the events in the series. XD

I think I already knew that subconciously, which is why House Unity is the first major plot we're tackling. ;-)

It's sure to be interesting. I can't wait until Hermione is free from the ward and can talk to the current students. :D

She can go ahead and do that now. The remainder of the thread will just be a formality: taking down names, requests for being in different years, and giving them back their wands (if they promise to behave themselves *coughs*Padma*coughs*). So go right ahead! :-D You can even have her start off the conversation at Christmas Dinner, if you want (and I can have McGonagall jump in, if she'd like to talk to her -- just let me know). I'm not sure how many of the current students have stayed for the holidays, but I know there are a few.

Well, she should be interested learning what he, Remus, James, Peter, Lily, and Snape were/are like as teenagers.

I'm sure she'll hunt them down for a conversation, and try to befriend them (as Harry already is planning that, I heard ;D), while lecturing Harry not to expose himself. XD.

I always wondered what attracted Hermione to Krum.. fame? Or was he really a nice guy? What about the accent?

Combination of him being nice *enough*, and Hermione wanting to make Ron jealous, I think. :P
