Physical Appearance:
Hermione is of an average height and build. She is about 5'5", but appears to be shorter since her heavy knapsack normally causes her to be hunched over. She has brown eyes and bushy brown hair that she never has the time or patience to tame. Hermione doesn't care about fashion or the latest trends, but she usually tries to look neat. It is obvious when she is having a particularly stressful week because her blouse will be untucked and there will be ink smudges on her arms, face, and sleeves.

Biography:
Hermione is the only daughter of two Muggle dentists, Kevin and Jane Granger. It has been said that there are two kinds of only children - the ones who are obnoxiously spoiled and the ones who are almost a third adult in their households. When she was growing up, Hermione fell into the second category. Hermione was always a well-behaved child, so her parents almost always included her in their discussions about her life. They supported her interests and made sure that their house was always filled with books on every subject that caught their daughter's attention.

Before Hogwarts, Hermione didn’t have any real friends. She didn’t have any friends at all, if you didn’t count her books and her parents. She was always too bossy and too much of a know-it-all to connect with the other children. When she first started at Hogwarts, Hermione came close to repeating her past. Luckily, she had a fairy godmother in the form of a smelly troll who wanted to kill her. The troll incident led to her becoming best friends with Harry Potter and Ron Weasley.

Before she was sent back into the past, Hermione was beginning to stress out about her final exams and her future. She was very aware of the fact that her last year at Hogwarts was approaching and she still didn't know exactly what she wanted to do with her life. Part of her is relieved to be in the past because it gives her a definite goal.

Likes: School, learning, reading, being with her friends, animals, fighting injustice.

Dislikes: Judgmental people, laziness, discrimination.

Extracurricular Activities: Before the time change, she was a prefect, a member of the D.A., and the head of S.P.E.W.

Romantic history:
Hermione has never had much of a love life. She didn’t have her first crush until she was thirteen years old. It was on Gilderoy Lockhart, something that she’s still embarrassed to admit. When she was fifteen years old, Viktor Krum took an interest in her. She was a bit overwhelmed by this, but was also flattered. She continued to keep in touch with him over the years, but they never had a serious relationship. Contrary to what the Hogwarts rumor mill might have you believe, Hermione has never dated Harry or Ron.

What was your character’s status before Dumbledore’s spell?
Hermione was physically well, but her emotions were running high. She had a few cuts and bruises to show that she had been fighting, but she made it through the war without being injured too badly. Mentally, she was a wreck. Less than an hour before, she had accidentally killed Millicent Bulstrode. Despite the fact that Millicent wasn’t a nice person and wouldn’t have given killing Hermione a second thought, Hermione still felt horrible about it. She can’t get the image of Millicent running into her sword out of her head, no matter how hard she tries to convince herself that it isn’t a big deal. In the world as it exists now, Millicent hasn’t even been born yet.

What does your character want to accomplish while in the past?
Hermione wants to help stop Voldemort before he has a chance to bring about the events that happened in 1997.
